FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WRBZ Sports Radio 850 The Buzz:

One of the Elite Sports Talk Stations in the Country

WRBZ Sports Radio 850 The Buzz has landed in Street & Smith’s SportsBusiness Journal’s Top 25 list of Sports Talk radio stations in the country.  There are currently over 200 radio stations in the United States programming an all-sports format.  WRBZ ranks #17 in the country.  More importantly, the ranking of WRBZ outperforms other stations in much larger markets such as Chicago, Washington, Seattle, Tampa-St. Petersburg, Kansas City and St. Louis.

“We are thrilled by our performance on a local and national level,” said Program Director and Afternoon personality Adam Gold.  “Our national ranking is a clear reflection of the talents of this radio station and the loyalty of our listeners;  we are very grateful for their support.”

WRBZ began programming the all-sports format in 1998.  Since then, WRBZ has seen steady increases in ratings over the past seven years, typically gaining audience shares greater than many other sports stations in the country.

The WRBZ weekday line-up includes:  Imus in the Morning, Chris Clark, Jim Rome, Adam Gold, and Morgan Patrick.  Weekend programming is highlighted by David Glenn, Joe Ovies, Gordon Miller and Amnon Nissan.

For more information, contact Adam Gold, WRBZ Program Director at (919) 875-9100.
